OraVerse is especially helpful for children. Children frequently chew on their lips, tongues and mouth while they are numb, which can cause sores or other damage without the child (or their parents) knowing. When we use OraVerse to reduce the time spent numb, the chances of accidental injury are greatly reduced. It also reduces the likelihood of the child requiring additional treatment for an injury caused during a period of numbness.

OraVerse can reduce numbness of the upper lip to about 50 minutes total, while numbness of the lower lip is lowered to about 70 minutes — less than half the time that you remain numb following traditional numbing treatments.
